XL™ Rack Guards
Protect-it XL rack guards are large format upright protectors that improve warehouse safety and reduce rack damage caused by materials handling equipment (MHE) such as forklift trucks. Our XL range provides effective, affordable protection for all major pallet rack systems. Each Protect-it XL guard is 500mm (19.7”) high and fits uprights with widths from 70mm to 90mm (2.75” to 3.5”). We offer clips to suit either open-back (typically roll formed) or closed-back (tubular) racking uprights.
Key features
Simple
No drilling or fasteners means that anyone can install Protect-it XL rack guards. Simply push the guard onto the upright and slip on the two high-strength retaining clips. For rack inspections simply remove one clip, tilt the guard to inspect the rack and then replace the clip to restore protection.
Effective
Integrally moulded, curved energy absorbers (based on our proven patented design) provide a staged impact response. This lets Protect-it XL flex easily to deflect everyday knocks and bumps while still providing powerful impact protection for more serious forklift collisions. Each Protect-it XL guard provides a protection height of 500mm. Our products are tested to international racking standards and demonstrate excellent performance in warehouses and cold stores down to -40°C.

Protect-it 3XL will fit most racking uprights with a width from 70mm to 90mm (2.75” to 3.5”). Our 3XL guard is available with two different clip versions:
Standard Clips
Designed to fit uprights with open backs (typical roll-formed racking)
Closed-Tube Clips
Designed to fit uprights with closed backs (such as tubular racking)
