Installation

Protect-it MAXI can be installed on columns and structures of almost any shape and size. An assembled MAXI guard provides a protection height of 500mm and multiple units can be stacked to protect greater heights (e.g. 1m or 1.5m).

Materials

The Protect-it MAXI body is manufactured from ultra high impact polyethylene (HDPE) with the following features:

• Food Grade - when used in accordance with FDA application guidelines, Protect-it MAXI products meet the requirements of FDA 21 CFR 177.1520 (c) 3.1a and  AS2070-1999 section 4.1.1(a)

• Flammability - DIN 4102 B2: normal combustibility (similar to wooden pallets)

• Recyclable through most curbside recycling programs.

Protect-it MAXI pins are manufactured from high impact acetal with the following features:

• Recyclable through some curbside recycling programs.

Testing

Our testing process utilises Finite Element Analysis (FEA); a computerised method for predicting how a product reacts to real-world forces and real world impact testing.

• No column damage to a 100UC-15 (4”) column after a 2.7 ton forklift impact at 2 km/hour (FEA results)

• Impact analysis - equivalent to 2.7 ton forklift impact at 2.5 km/hour [view YouTube video]

• No column damage to a 200UC_59 (8”) column after a 2.7 ton forklift impact at 6 km/hour (FEA results)
